Steam and Silk

In Steam and Silk, Victoria Hawthorne faces Jake Hawthorne, her husband's adult son, when an unlocked door leaves her bare in the steam and neither looks away. A phone rings but the charge lingers. Victoria leaves the door open, calls Jake closer, and hands him the sponge as their line dissolves. In his room she names the ritual as theirs alone until headlights interrupt their first kiss. Every sunrise pulls them deeper into a ritual the house must never learn.
